Internationalization of Sub-Saharan Universities: the launch of the GOOD MAUR-NIG Project

Mar 20, 2024 | News

On 14 and 15 February 2024, the partners of GOOD MAUR-NIG met online, one month after the official launch of the project, to mark its start and begin their collaboration.

After UNIMED, the project coordinator, presented the objectives and expected outcomes, the leaders of each work package outlined the planned activities and schedules.

A dedicated session addressed project management and monitoring, including administrative and financial matters. This discussion was particularly important, as GOOD MAUR-NIG is the first Erasmus+ capacity-building project for the participating universities in Mauritania and Niger.

The meeting also focused on Work Package 2, Diagnosis and Perspectives. Led by the University of Granada, in collaboration with the University of Tahoua Djibo Hamani, partners discussed the best tools to map the resources and capacities available to their universities for strengthening their international engagement.

The results of this mapping will be shared at a workshop held on 27-28 May, in Granada, which will also serve as the project team’s first in-person meeting.
